President of Uzbekistan offers his condolences to the people of Kazakhstan

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Turanews.kz reports citing the press service of Akorda.

The President of Uzbekistan expressed his condolences to the Kazakh Leader and the people of Kazakhstan due to the wildfire in the Abay region. Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that he shares the grief of the families of the deceased citizens.

During the conversation, the parties reaffirmed their intention to further strengthen the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on the current situation in the world.

Recall that a wildfire broke out in the “Semei” forest reserve on June 8. According to the deputy akim of Abay region, Dimitriy Garikov, the wildfire was caused by two lightning strikes at area.
