President of Turkmenistan Presents Book on Anau Culture in Anev City

On April 5th, the unveiling of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's book, titled "Anau - Culture from the Depths of Millennia," took place at the Turkic Academy.

The event was graced by the presence of Askhat Kesikbaev, Vice-President of the Turkic Academy, Batyr Rejepov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, Mukhit Asanbaev, Chief Expert of the Institute of Strategic Studies of Kazakhstan, and Zhanat Momynkulov, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Applied Research of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan.

In his remarks at the presentation, Vice-President Askhat Kesikbaev conveyed warm regards from President Shain Mustafayev of the Turkic Academy, emphasizing the significance of scientific collaboration between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in promoting shared historical heritage.

Anau was declared the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World for 2024 by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), underscoring its pivotal role in Turkic culture and legacy. Additionally, this year commemorates the 300th anniversary of the birth of Turkmenistan’s national poet, Maktymkula Fragi. Ambassador Batyr Rejepov, as part of the ceremony, donated a new book detailing the cultural legacy of Anau to the library collection of the Turkic Academy.

Published in Turkmen, English, and Russian, the book comprises three sections: “The Uniqueness of Ancient Anau,” “Epochal Events Linking Historical Periods,” and “The Glorious Journey of Ancient Anau Continues in Ahal Land.”
