President of Tajikistan Meets with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister

On February 5, the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, who was on an official visit to Tajikistan.

President Rahmon welcomed Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Kulubaev in Dushanbe, and during their discussions, they covered various aspects of Tajik-Kyrgyz relations and explored future prospects.

Rahmon stressed the importance of actively developing political dialogue and fostering a climate of trust between the two countries.

The conversation also touched upon the demarcation and delimitation of the state border. Over the past four months, the parties have collaboratively agreed on the design and working description of approximately 196 km of the state border line. To date, almost 90% of its passage has been completed, as reported by the press service.

President Rahmon emphasized the significance of ongoing efforts in this direction.

The meeting concluded with discussions on the joint utilization of water resources from transboundary rivers and the expansion of trade, economic, parliamentary, and other ties between the two republics.
