President of Kyrgyzstan to Attend SCO Meeting in Kazakhstan

President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan will undertake a working visit to Kazakhstan to participate in the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of State meeting.

This was announced by Muratbek Azymbakiev, head of the foreign policy department of the Administration of the President of Kyrgyzstan.

“The leaders of SCO countries will discuss crucial issues of multilateral and multi-vector cooperation within the organization, as well as regional and international politics. Following the summit, the Astana Declaration of the SCO Council of Heads of State will be signed,” Azymbakiev emphasized.

He highlighted plans to sign agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation among SCO member states in political, economic, energy, and other spheres, alongside efforts to expand and improve the organization’s activities.

“Environmental concerns, regional and international security, and the further development of digital technologies to boost trade, economic relations, and tourism will receive significant attention,” added Azymbakiev.
