President of Kazakhstan Receives Flood Reports from Regional Leaders
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has been briefed by phone by the regional leaders (akims) of Akmola, Aktobe, Kostanay, and North Kazakhstan regions regarding the recent flooding, according to the Akorda press service.
During the calls, the akims updated the President on the current situation and the measures undertaken to manage the natural disaster and mitigate its aftermath.
Overall, the situation is reported to be under control, with adequate resources allocated to tackle the flooding.
Following the discussions, the President directed members of the Government, led by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, who oversees the Republican Headquarters, to visit the affected regions promptly. Intensive efforts are underway to ensure citizen safety and address their urgent needs.
