
In the statement made by the Presidency’s Directorate of Communications, regional issues, especially the developments in Turkey-Russia relations and the grain corridor, were discussed during the meeting.
The President of Turkey Erdogan thanked Russian President Putin for his constructive stance on the 120-day extension of the Istanbul Agreement on grain exports, TRT Avaz reports.
Stating that the prolongation of the Russia-Ukraine war will increase the risks and therefore diplomatic talks should be revived, President Erdoğan stated that the contacts of the Russian and American Intelligence Heads in Turkey play a key role in preventing an uncontrolled escalation in the field.
