Preparations Begin for Filming “Khoja Nasreddin” in Bukhara

Preparations for the film "Khoja Nasreddin" are underway in Bukhara. Director Vagif Mustafayev, who will be shooting the film in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkey, recently met with TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev and Bukhara Governor Botir Zaripov to select filming locations in Bukhara.

The film aims to highlight many important regions of the Turkic world from a historical perspective, incorporating them into the storyline.

“Bukhara is one of the rare cities where ancient history, architectural monuments, traditions, and modernity coexist,” said Governor Zaripov. “We place great importance on promoting our city through this significant high-budget project in partnership with TURKSOY.” He added that Bukhara will fully support the film project.

Secretary General Sultan Raev emphasized the increasing significance of cinema in TURKSOY’s activities, noting that cinema and related events will be a major focus in the coming years.
