Phone call between Turkish President Erdogan and Russian counterpart Putin

The president of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, had a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, Communications Department of Turkish Presidency reports.

The call addressed the latest developments in the Russia-Ukraine war.

During the talk, two leaders also discussed the issues of grain corridor and ammonia exports as well as the project of sending Russian grain to African countries in need after processing it to flour in Türkiye.

President Erdoğan reiterated Türkiye’s readiness to facilitate and mediate lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine.
