OTS Secretary General met Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency

The Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) H.E. Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with H.E. Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the latter’s headquarters in Vienna on 3 April 2023.

Secretary General Omuraliev touched upon on “Turkic World Vision-2040” and “OTS Strategy for 2022-2026” documents, briefed his counterparts on the results of the Budapest meeting of the OTS Energy Ministers and OTS Program on Energy Cooperation for 2023-2027 and its respective Action Plan as the basis for the institutional relations with IAEA on a mutually agreed areas.

IAEA Director General Grossi underlined that that IAE is implementing many projects in the OTS countries bilaterally and they are ready to implement joint projects to further this cooperation in the level of OTS and IAEA.

The Secretary General and the Director-General have agreed to work as partners and organise a meeting between the OTS Secretariat and IAEA Secretariat to prepare joint programs and projects to be implemented in the Member States of the OTS.
