Official logo of Bishkek International Film Festival unveiled

The official logo of the Bishkek International Film Festival, which will be held from November 17 to 21, 2023, has been unveiled in Bishkek. The logo was designed by young designer Nuriza Kochkinbayeva and was chosen from 16 creative teams that participated in the competition, Turanews.kz reports.

The logo features a stylized image of a film reel and the letters “BIFF” in Kyrgyz script. The film reel is red, which is the color of cinema, and the letters are blue, which is the color of the sky. The logo also features a silhouette of the city of Bishkek in the background.

The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the logo was chosen for its “best representation of the spirit of cinema and the symbolism of Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.”

The logo will be used as the official brand of the Bishkek International Film Festival in all events and information sources.

The Bishkek International Film Festival is dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov. Aitmatov was a renowned novelist, short story writer, and screenwriter who was born in Bishkek. His work has been translated into over 100 languages and has been adapted into numerous films.

The festival will showcase films from around the world, including feature films, documentaries, and short films. It will also feature a number of special events, such as workshops, master classes, and discussions.
