New Flag Unveiled for the Organization of Turkic States at Bishkek Summit

At the 11th Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), a new flag was adopted to represent the unity and shared cultural heritage of Turkic nations.

The flag, set on a blue background (Pantone 3125C), features three central symbols: an octagon, a crescent with a star, and a sun with forty rays radiating from the center. Each symbol carries significant meaning:

  • Blue Background: Reflects peace, prosperity, and unity among Turkic peoples, closely tied to their cultural roots and traditions.
  • Octagon: Symbolizes the longstanding Turkic statehood, stability, and wisdom.
  • Sun with Forty Rays: Represents light, openness, and shared values within the Turkic world.
  • Crescent with Star: A traditional emblem of the Turkic nations, signifying statehood, progress, and a forward-looking vision.

The new flag captures the essence of Turkic identity and unity, highlighting the foundational values and mission of the Organization of Turkic States.
