Mongolia Launches “Thousand Camel Festival – 2026”
The city of Dalanzadgad is set to host the “Thousand Camel Festival – 2026,” with the opening ceremony taking place as part of the Camel Research and Investment Forum. The event will bring together industry experts, investors, and regional officials.
According to 2025 statistics, Umnugovi Province leads the country in camel population, with 155,900 registered camels. The highest numbers are recorded in Khanbogd (30,174), Mandal-Ovoo (13,079), Manlai (4,437), Tsogt-Ovoo (13,079), and Khurmen (9,047).
During the three-day celebration, visitors will be offered free guided city tours around Dalanzadgad. The festival aims to promote camel breeding traditions while boosting investment and tourism in the region.
