Kyrgyzstan Temporarily Halts Livestock Exports
Kyrgyzstan has temporarily suspended the registration and issuance of permits for the export of cattle, small livestock, and horses to third countries, according to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Products.
The halt is linked to an ongoing inventory of livestock identification in the “SIOZH” system conducted by the Veterinary Service. This step aims to ensure accurate livestock records and strengthen control over veterinary and sanitary standards, which will enhance the quality of services provided to both domestic and international partners.
The inventory is expected to last 15-20 days, after which the export permit process will resume. Applications submitted during this period will be prioritized for processing once the inventory is completed.
