President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov will make a working visit to Dushanbe, Tajikistan, at the invitation of Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon, Turanews.kz reports.
The visit will take place on September 14-15, 2023.
During the visit, Japarov will participate in the V Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia. The meeting will be held in Dushanbe and will focus on discussing current issues of multilateral cooperation and prospects for regional cooperation.
Japarov will also hold bilateral negotiations with Rahmon. The two presidents are expected to discuss a range of issues, including trade and economic cooperation, security, and border management.
The V Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia is a regular forum for the leaders of the five Central Asian countries to discuss issues of common interest. The meeting is expected to be an important opportunity for the presidents to strengthen cooperation and coordination in the region.
