Kazakhstan remarks the Day of State Symbols
Today, June 4, Kazakhstan celebrates the Day of State Symbols. On this day 31 years ago, they were approved as the hallmarks of an independent country. State symbols include the coat of arms, flag and anthem, Turanews.kz reports.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev has repeatedly noted that the national flag is a symbol that unites all citizens of the country, uniting them in the name of a common cause.
“Our sky-blue flag signifies the inviolability of our statehood. Our coat of arms is a reflection of the idea of freedom. Our anthem celebrates the free spirit and national identity. These three symbols of independence give a sense of pride to our people, as they embody the dreams of our ancestors,” the Head of State said during the State Flag Raising Ceremony last year in Astana.
