The head of the defense department of Kazakhstan, Colonel-General Ruslan Zhaksylykov, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Türkiye to Kazakhstan, Mustafa Kapucu, on Tuesday, Turanews.kz reports.
The two sides discussed the current state and prospects of military cooperation in the fields of military education, combat training, and peacekeeping.
They also discussed cooperation in the field of military-technical cooperation, which they noted is systematically developing on the basis of the agreements reached during the meeting of the heads of state of Kazakhstan and Türkiye in May last year.
In conclusion, Colonel-General Zhaksylykov thanked Ambassador Kapuju for his assistance in the participation of the Turkish military band “Mehteran” in the I International Military Music Festival “Astana – Madeniet Kerueni.” He stressed the importance of culture in promoting the ideas of peace, cooperation, and good neighborliness.
