Kazakhstan and Tajikistan Forge Banking Sector Cooperation

In a recent meeting between Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, and Hasan Asadullozoda, Chairman of the Board of Orienbonk OJSC, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan solidified their commitment to collaborate in the banking sector.

Held in Dushanbe on January 26, 2023, the discussions encompassed various aspects of cooperation, including the facilitation of interbank settlements in trade and economic transactions. Additionally, the meeting delved into exploring Kazakhstan’s expertise in the digitalization of banking operations.

A key outcome of the meeting was the agreement to jointly finance projects, particularly in the agricultural sector, along with other promising ventures.

Orienbonk OJSC, a prominent player in Tajikistan’s banking sector with notable assets and capital, boasts an extensive network comprising 32 branches and 242 banking service centers. The bank, with over 1,200 employees, stands as a leader in the Tajikistan financial landscape.
