Kazakhstan Accelerates AI Integration in Construction and Industry

During a government session, the Minister of Industry and Construction, Yersayin Nagaspayev, reported on the large-scale deployment of Artificial Intelligence within his supervised sectors. A standout achievement is the “Computer Vision” pilot project, which has slashed the time required to detect illegal construction from 3 days to just 4 hours.
Collaborating with Kazakhtelecom, the ministry is deploying drones to create sophisticated “Digital Twins” of cities. Furthermore, building regulations are being converted into machine-readable formats, allowing AI to expedite state expertise for BIM projects.
Nagaspayev emphasized that these measures ensure uniform rules across the country, particularly in seismically active regions.
In the industrial sector, AI is already optimizing quality control and production processes, specifically within the mining industry.
