Kazakh Technical Universities to Establish Campuses in Kyrgyzstan

it has been disclosed that technical universities based in Kazakhstan are gearing up to establish branches in Kyrgyzstan

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, shared this information during a press conference in Bishkek, TuraNews.kz reports citing the Kazinform Agency.

After discussions with his Kyrgyz counterpart, Murat Nurtleu discussed the expansion of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sectors. He highlighted the active efforts in enhancing collaboration in the educational domain, pointing out that Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Gumilyov Eurasian National University have already established branches in Bishkek and Osh.

Minister Nurtleu expressed optimism about continuing this practice, with the Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas planning to open its branch. Additionally, a vocational school is in the works near the KAZ Minerals Bozymchak production plant.

Murat Nurtleu emphasized Kazakhstan’s willingness to increase grants and quotas for Kyrgyz students in Kazakh higher educational institutions if there is a demand from the Kyrgyz side.
