In a customary display of hospitality, a guard of honor awaited the distinguished guest, followed by renditions of both nations’ national anthems by the Presidential Orchestra. The leaders then proceeded to the State Flag of Kazakhstan, marking the commencement of their meeting in a restricted format.

The encounter was preceded by Tokayev’s reception of Japarov at the capital airport on April 18. The visit, occurring at the invitation of Tokayev, was part of Japarov’s official visit to Kazakhstan from April 18-19.

In a cultural exchange showcasing the rich heritage of both nations, the heads of state attended a gala concert at the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation. Renowned artists from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, along with performers from the Astana Opera and various creative groups, graced the event with their talent.

During the visit, bilateral negotiations between Tokayev and Japarov will cover a wide array of topics, reflecting the depth of cooperation between the two countries. Additionally, Japarov will participate in the Sixth meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan, along with the unveiling of a monument dedicated to the Kyrgyz epic hero “Manas” in Astana.
