Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Arrives in St. Petersburg for Eurasian Economic Council Meeting

The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has landed in St. Petersburg in response to an invitation from Russian President Vladimir Putin to attend the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. This summit, involving leaders from Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member countries, is anticipated to address critical objectives and pivotal pathways for advancing integration processes.

The agenda of the meeting is expected to encompass discussions on the fundamental tasks and key trajectories for the ongoing development of integration within the EAEU. President Tokayev’s participation underscores Kazakhstan’s commitment to regional cooperation and economic collaboration.

In addition to the EAEU discussions, President Tokayev is set to partake in an informal gathering of heads of state from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This broader meeting provides a platform for leaders to engage in informal dialogue and exchange views on various regional matters.
