Jibek Joly TV’s new documentary project “Kyandagy Kandastar”
When we talk about Kazakh history at the beginning of the 20th century, there’s a term in books as “Kazakhs who spread over the earth”. Descendants of the people who witnessed this history, now live in all corners of the world.
The Kazakhs who are living thousands of kilometers away from their homeland and despite the fact they’ve been separated from Kazakh lands for almost a century, the elders of the society have kept the Kazakh language and continue to preserve the “Kazakh identity” and pass it on to future generations.
Jibek Joly television channel’s “Kyandagi Kandastar” (Distant Relatives) TV project will convey the stories of our relatives living abroad about their daily lives in their countries, their current situations and the difficulties they have experienced in the past.
