
Kazakhstan’s national compound archery team has claimed the Asian Championship title for the first time in history, TuraNews.kz reports citing BasSport.kz.
At the Asian Archery Championship held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the Kazakh team secured a landmark victory by winning the gold medal in the compound team event.
In the final, Kazakhstan confidently defeated India with a score of 240–228. The national squad featured Dilmukhamed Musa, Buned Mirzametov, and Andrey Tyutyun.
Their road to the final included:
- Round of 16 victory over Iraq (234–225),
- Quarterfinal win against Iran (233–231),
- Narrow semifinal triumph over Korea (236–235).
The Asian Archery Championship concludes on 14 November, with 207 athletes from 29 nations competing across events.
