Heatwave Hits TRNC: Temperatures Surpass 30°C

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) experienced an unusual surge in temperatures, with the mercury rising above 30°C. Such heat in spring is considered rare for the region.

March saw temperatures climbing to 30°C in Northern Cyprus, prompting many Cypriots to flock to the beaches this Monday.

Thanks to prevailing winds, Cyprus has been experiencing summer-like temperatures this spring. The area has been shielded from Saharan dust by a high-pressure system, as noted by meteorologists. Weather forecasts indicate that this warm spell is expected to persist throughout the week.
