Flood-Affected Graduates to Receive Special Grants in Kazakhstan
Graduates from regions impacted by recent floods will receive special grants, with extended deadlines for registering for the UNT (Unified National Testing) and taking exams, which will now be held until July 12. Those with low results will have the opportunity to compete for grants using their winter exam scores.
Bolatbek Abdrasilov, Director of the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, announced these measures at a CCS briefing.
“For the six regions affected by flooding, the Ministry will allocate special grants,” Abdrasilov stated. “This decision follows proposals from the Ministry and deputies, as well as meetings with parents, teachers, and students in the affected areas.” A special press conference will provide further details on these grants.
