Fires break out at several factories in Turkish province of Bursa

A fire broke out in the industrial zone of Inegol in Türkiye on August 2, 2023. The fire spread to four factories for the production of yarn and the manufacture of timber, which were located near the source of the fire, Turanews.kz reports.

Four helicopters, 110 fire trucks, and 200 personnel are involved in extinguishing the fire. Employees of nearby factories were evacuated. Four people were hospitalized for smoke inhalation.

Governor of Bursa province Yakup Janbolat arrived at the scene and said that the fire is spreading quickly.

“All employees of the plant were evacuated. There are no victims. Two people were poisoned by carbon monoxide, they were hospitalized. Nothing threatens their lives,” the governor informed.

Firefighters from Inegol and nearby areas are working at the scene with the participation of the air force.

The fire is still ongoing, and the cause is under investigation.

This is the second fire in Türkiye in recent weeks. On July 29, a fire broke out in a forested area near the Bodrum airport in the province of Muğla in southern Türkiye. The air temperature then exceeded 43 degrees.
