Elon Musk Becomes the First Person to Amass Over $400 Billion in Wealth
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has reached a record net worth of $439 billion.
According to Bloomberg, Musk’s wealth saw a $50 billion surge after SpaceX, valued at $350 billion, became the world’s most valuable startup. This milestone places Musk ahead of other billionaires, including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Musk first claimed the title of the world’s richest person in January 2021, surpassing Bezos with a then-net worth of $194.8 billion. Bloomberg previously noted that Musk’s wealth continued to grow even after he publicly supported Republican candidates, including former U.S. President Donald Trump.
The Guardian projects Musk could become the world’s first trillionaire by 2027, with his fortune growing at an average annual rate of 110%. Analysts also expect Indian billionaire Gautam Adani to follow as the second trillionaire by 2028, alongside Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Indonesian tycoon Prajogo Pangestu.
