Elena Rybakina Falls Short in Miami Open Final Against Danielle Collins

Kazakhstani tennis sensation Elena Rybakina faced a tough defeat against American player Danielle Collins in the final of the prestigious WTA-1000 tournament held in Miami. The match concluded with a score of 7:5, 6:3 in favor of Collins after an intense battle lasting just over two hours.

Despite putting up a spirited fight, Rybakina struggled with her serves, managing to convert only one break point out of the eleven opportunities presented. Nonetheless, her remarkable journey to the final earned her 650 rating points.

In the updated world rankings, Rybakina will maintain her position at 4th place. While she remains behind top-ranked players Cori Gauff, Arina Sabalenka, and Iga Swiatek, she has widened the gap with Jessica Pegula, who trails behind her. The Kazakhstan Tennis Federation confirmed the news, emphasizing Rybakina’s strong performance throughout the tournament despite the final setback.
