Deputy Secretary General Dr. Kocaman met with the President of the “Otandastar Qory”

Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Dr. Ömer Kocaman met with the President of the non-profit joint stock company “Otandastar Qory”, the institution in charge of the diaspora coordination of Kazakhstan, and former Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Türkiye H.E. Abzal Saparbekuly on 21 November 2022 in Astana.

Dr. Kocaman congratulated Mr. Saparbekuly for assuming his new duty as the President of the “Otandastar Qory” and provided information about the latest developments within the Turkic World and the Samarkand Summit of the OTS held on 11 November 2022.

Mr. Kocaman emphasized that OTS is conducting various projects and activities to further deepen and coordinate the cooperation among the Turkic diasporas in different parts of the world and stated readiness to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with “Otandastar Qory” to organize joint events in the upcoming period.
H.E. Saparbekuly briefed the OTS delegation on the duties and tasks of the “Otandastar Qory” and their upcoming plans and events to be organized in the Member and Observer States as well as other parts of the world.

Mr. Saparbekuly also raised the issue to create a common web platform of Turkic diasporas and underlined the importance of organizing diaspora meetings in the third countries.
