Death toll in Türkiye rises to 31,000

More than 31 thousand people killed by the earthquakes in Türkiye. Turanews.kz reports citing the AFAD government department for emergency situations.

“The death toll from the earthquakes has risen to 31,643. Totally 158,165 citizens were evacuated from to other provinces,” the department said.

In the country, 66,444 buildings were destroyed as a result of earthquakes.

On the night of February 6, an earthquake of magnitude 7.7 occurred in Turkey, on the same day several more tremors occurred in the afternoon.
