Death toll in Türkiye earthquake tops 43,000
The death toll from the earthquake in Kahramanmaras has reached 43,556 people, the Interior Ministry said.
The number of victims of a series of powerful earthquakes in Kahramanmaras of southeastern Türkiye has reached 43,556, said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic, Suleyman Soylu.
Recall that the earthquake in Türkiye and Syria, which occurred on February 6, claimed the lives of 45 thousand people.
On February 20, a new earthquake of magnitude 6.4 occurred in Türkiye with its epicenter in the Hatay and according to latest informations, nearly 300 people were injured.
