Days of Uzbek Cinema to Grace Kazan, Tatarstan

Kazan is set to host the Days of Uzbek Cinema from March 13 to 15, as announced by the press service of the State Budgetary Institution of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, "Tatarkino."

This cinematic exchange follows the successful showcasing of Tatarstan Cinema in Tashkent in December 2023, where four films originating from the republic were warmly received. “Tatarkino” expressed gratitude for the warm reception extended by the Tatar community in Uzbekistan, paving the way for Uzbek filmmakers to reciprocate the gesture with their visit to Tatarstan.

The event, taking place at the Mir cinema on Dostoevsky St., will feature five films produced in recent years. The program includes the military drama “Ilhak” (2020) on March 13 at 19:00, the historical drama “Abdulla Oripov” (2023) on March 14 at 11:20, the military drama “Uzbek” (2022) on March 14 at 18:00, the drama “Road to Nowhere” (2022) on March 15 at 11:00, and the comedy “Yasha, Khotin! (Bravo, wife!)” (2023) on March 15 at 12:45.

All screenings during the Days of Uzbek Cinema will feature the original language with Russian subtitles. While admission to the screenings is free, pre-registration is required via the cinema website (kinoteatr-mir.ru).
