Biden Calls California Wildfires the Most Devastating in State History
U.S. President Joe Biden described the ongoing wildfires in California, which have scorched nearly 11,000 hectares, as the most widespread and destructive in the state’s history.
He made the remarks during a press conference on Thursday, as reported by TASS.
“These are the most destructive wildfires in California’s history,” Biden stated.
The President noted that the U.S. government is deploying additional firefighting teams and aerial resources to combat the flames. He also mentioned that firefighting crews and aircraft from Canada have been brought in to assist.
“So far, 360,000 people have been evacuated,” Biden added.
