Another Country to Open Embassy in Astana
During a meeting between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Konstantinos Kombos, it was announced that another embassy will soon be established in Astana.
President Tokayev affirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to bolstering partnership relations with Cyprus, highlighting the robust political dialogue and investment cooperation that have flourished over the 32 years of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The President warmly welcomed Cyprus’s decision to inaugurate an embassy in Astana, viewing it as a significant step towards enhancing diplomatic relations and fostering mutual partnership.
Expressing gratitude for the hospitality extended, Minister Konstantinos Kombos emphasized the ample opportunities available to deepen cooperation between Cyprus and Kazakhstan.
Furthermore, discussions during the meeting centered on the prospects of enhancing collaboration in trade, economy, investment, and tourism. Additionally, matters concerning the international and regional agenda, including integration within the UN and the European Union, were deliberated upon.
