Almaty’s tourism industry continues to strengthen its economic impact, showing a significant rise in key financial indicators. In 2025, the volume of tourism services increased by 15.2%, reaching 110.9 billion tenge. Total investment in the sector surged by 39.4% to 198.8 billion tenge, with major capital flowing into passenger transport, luxury accommodation, and the entertainment industry.
Tax revenues from tourism also saw a substantial jump of 27.2%, totaling 84 billion tenge. The food service industry and the hospitality sector were the primary contributors to this growth. These figures underscore the steady development of Almaty’s tourism infrastructure and its vital role as a strategic growth engine for the city’s overall economy.
