A Series of Earthquakes Hits Southern Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan experienced a series of earthquakes recently, as reported by the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The first earthquake struck at 08:36 local time, with a magnitude of about 3 points at the epicenter. Its source was identified 8 kilometers northwest of Toskool village, 18 kilometers east of Mailuu-Suu city, and 43 kilometers northwest of Jalal-Abad city.

Subsequently, at 09:15, a magnitude 3 earthquake occurred in Tajikistan, located 110 kilometers south of Batken city.

Shortly after, two more earthquakes with a magnitude of 3 at the epicenter were recorded in Kyrgyzstan. At 15:04, an earthquake struck 17 kilometers north of Ak-Tash village, 22 kilometers northwest of Kanysh-Kiya village, and 42 kilometers northwest of Terek-Sai village, with the epicenter 192 kilometers north of Batken.

Another earthquake hit at 16:01, located 5 kilometers northeast of Aral village, 9 kilometers northeast of Tesh village, 12 kilometers northwest of Suzak village, and 20 kilometers southwest of Jalal-Abad city, with its epicenter 38 kilometers northeast of Andijan.

Residents in the villages of Aral and Tesh reported feeling the earthquakes at an intensity of 2 points.
