President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a circular regarding the celebration of 2023 as the "Year of Mevlana".

In the circular published in the Official Gazette, President Erdogan stated that the life, ideas and works of the great Islamic scholar Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, who brought hearts together in Anatolian lands, kneaded hearts with the dough of love and compassion, and fostered unity, solidarity and brotherhood with his knowledge and advice, have been on the path of humanity for centuries. stated that he was enlightened.

In the circular, Mevlana said, “We do not plant any seed other than love in this soil, we do not plant another seed in this clean field.” Erdogan said, “Mevlana, with his Mesnevi, which he blended with science, wisdom and wisdom in Anatolia, planted the consciousness of being a nation and fermented our lands with this cherished value.
2023 year will be celebrated as the ‘Year of Mevlana’ and within the framework of the 750th birth anniversary of Mevlana and events will be held throughout the year throughout the country and abroad as well.

Stating that the events will be carried out with the relevant public institutions and organizations under the coordination of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Erdoğan said that the events to be determined by the Presidency can be held under the auspices of the Presidency.

“The logos, posters, announcements, invitations, announcements and similar documents and visual documents related to the events will be used in accordance with the corporate identity to be determined together with the relevant institutions. The expenses of the events to be held will be covered by the relevant public institutions and organizations. I kindly request your information and necessary action to ensure that all kinds of support, assistance and convenience that may be needed are carried out without delay by all public institutions and organizations.
