19th SCO Forum to be Held in Tashkent
The 19th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) forum is set to take place on June 5 in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
Chaired by the Uzbek side, the event will be organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The forum, themed “The Role of the SCO in the New Conditions: Joining Efforts in the Name of General Security, Stability and Prosperity,” will gather more than 40 experts from 10 countries. Participants will include specialists from national research centers of SCO member countries, observer states, SCO dialogue partners, and leaders from the SCO Secretariat and the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) Executive Committee.
The agenda will feature discussions across three main sessions focusing on priority areas of cooperation within the SCO, enhancing the organization’s effectiveness at its current stage, and further development of the SCO forum.
The meeting will conclude with the signing of minutes, encapsulating the approaches and visions of the SCO member states on the topics discussed.
