President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has appointed Arman Isagaliyev as the new Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, TuraNews.kz reports.
The appointment was announced on July 29 following the publication of the relevant decree by the Head of State.
“By the decree of the Head of State, Arman Kairatovich Isagaliyev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the official statement reads.
Arman Isagaliyev was born in 1972. He studied at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez, Morocco, as well as the Institute for Diplomatic Studies under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt.
He began his career in the 1990s as a lecturer at KazNU and a researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies under the Academy of Sciences. He joined the diplomatic service in 2000 as First Secretary at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Egypt. Later, he served as Counselor at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Saudi Arabia, Head of Sector at the Foreign Policy Center of the Presidential Administration, and Consul General of Kazakhstan in Dubai and the UAE. He also served as Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt, with concurrent accreditation to Algeria and Tunisia, and had been serving as Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Qatar since 2020.
