Trade turnover between Central Asia and China grows by 45,4% percent

Total China's foreign trade volume increased by 7.7% in 2022

The turnover of the five Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan adn Tajikistan) and China increased by 45.4% in 2022. Turanews.kz reports citing General Administration of Customs of China (GCA).

In 2022, China’s trade with countries along the One Belt One Road increased by 19.4% and reached to 13.83 trillion yuan (approximately $2.05 trillion). Over the past year, China’s exports to the Belt and Road countries amounted to 7.89 trillion yuan ($1.17 trillion), and imports to China amounted to 5.94 trillion yuan ($882.6 billion).

In 2022, the trade turnover between the five countries of Central Asia and the PRC increased by 45.4%, and the trade turnover between China and ASEAN increased by 15%.

According to China Customs statistics, in 2022 China will increase imports of energy and agricultural products from countries along the One Belt One Road by 58.8% (2.46 trillion yuan – about $365.5 billion) and 13.4% (370.4 billion yuan – about 55.03 billion dollars) increased.
