Digital Qazaqstan: The Government Unveils a Vision for Total AI Integration

During a recent cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov, the Kazakh government reviewed the draft of the “Digital Qazaqstan” national strategy.

Developed under the mandate of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, this ambitious roadmap aims to orchestrate a nationwide digital revolution by embedding Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the very fabric of the national economy.

As Kazakhstan observes 2026 as the Year of Digitalization and AI, this strategy serves as a conceptual blueprint for long-term industrial and social progress. Prime Minister Bektenov emphasized that “Digital Qazaqstan” is designed to coordinate high-level tasks across all sectors, from heavy industry to public services. The strategy focuses on building robust data infrastructure, deploying high-performance computing clusters, and fostering an AI-ready workforce, ensuring Kazakhstan’s position as a leading digital hub in Central Asia.
