Uzbekistan Secures Long-Term Lease of 4,000 Hectares in Belarus for Cattle Farming

Uzbekistan has reached a strategic agreement to lease 4,000 hectares of agricultural land in the Vitebsk region of Belarus for long-term use.

According to the Dunyo news agency, the deal was finalized during a working visit by a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Qashqadaryo region. This partnership aims to strengthen economic ties and establish mutually beneficial production facilities between the two nations.

As part of the agreement, Uzbek enterprises “Asl Yuksalish Savdo” and “Muborak qorako‘lchilik” will collaborate with the “Sirotinsk” livestock farm in the Shumilin district. The primary goal of the project is to utilize the leased land to raise 1,000 head of cattle, leveraging Belarusian agricultural expertise and resources to bolster Uzbekistan’s livestock sector.
