Earthquake in Kyrgyzstan Felt Across Five Regions of Uzbekistan

An earthquake centered in Kyrgyzstan was felt in several regions of Uzbekistan, with tremors reaching up to magnitude 4 in some areas.

According to the Uzbekistan Seismic Monitoring Center, the earthquake occurred between 1:29 and 1:30 a.m., TuraNews.kz reports.

The epicenter was located in Kyrgyzstan’s Jalal-Abad region, where the tremor reached magnitude 7. In Uzbekistan, the quake was felt in Namangan (3–4 magnitude), Andijan (3), Fergana (2–3), Syrdarya (2), and Tashkent (2–3).

It was also reported that the earthquake was felt in parts of Kazakhstan, particularly in the Zhambyl and Turkistan regions, as well as in the city of Shymkent.
