During the visit, Lavrov is expected to hold talks with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and engage in comprehensive discussions with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov.
The agenda will reportedly focus on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing key regional and global issues.
This diplomatic mission follows recent developments in Russia-Uzbekistan relations, including the repatriation of 16 Uzbek children who had been left without parental care in Russia.
