According to ABC News, citing a report from the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, 24 fatalities have been confirmed as a result of the ongoing wildfires in California.
The report states that 16 people lost their lives in the Eaton fire, while eight others died in the Palisades fire.
Previously, authorities reported that at least 16 fatalities had occurred in wildfires across Los Angeles County.
Local media also noted that the wildfires pose a significant threat to oil and gas supplies in the region, raising concerns about broader economic and environmental impacts.
