Armenia and Azerbaijan Continue Negotiations on Peace Treaty Text

Armenia and Azerbaijan have yet to finalize an agreement on the full text of a proposed peace treaty, according to Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan.

Kostanyan noted that while negotiations are progressing, certain points remain unresolved, and discussions are ongoing. Armenia has expressed a strong interest in accelerating talks to reach an agreement promptly, but there is currently no set plan for meetings at the level of foreign ministers or heads of state.

On November 5, Armenia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it received a response from Azerbaijan on its latest peace treaty proposal. Azerbaijan’s response follows Armenia’s submission of updated treaty proposals in late August, underscoring ongoing diplomatic efforts between the two nations to finalize the treaty’s terms.
