Forest Fire Erupts in Izmir, Türkiye
On August 16, a forest fire broke out in the Turkish city of Izmir, quickly spreading and reaching the walls of a local hospital.
The fire started in the western part of the country, and power outages have been reported in the Karsiyaka region, according to Turkish broadcaster NTV.
Thick smoke has engulfed the city as the fire continues to spread. The flames have now reached the city hospital, causing further concern.
