The ministry stated, “As a result of the events on Bagramyan Avenue, 98 civilians and police officers sought medical help.” Out of these, 66 were treated and sent home, while another 32 are still receiving treatment for light to moderate injuries. There have been no reported fatalities.
The protests occurred during Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s speech on June 12, when demonstrators demanding his resignation gathered in front of the Parliament. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that police detained 42 protestors. Clashes between the rally participants and law enforcement officials continued.
Subsequently, Armenian police reported that 98 protesters were detained at the Parliament in Yerevan.
