Elon Musk reclaims title of richest person in the United States

Elon Musk has once again become the richest person in the United States, with a fortune estimated at $251 billion, according to Forbes magazine’s annual list of the 400 richest Americans, TuraNews.kz reports.

Musk’s wealth is largely tied to the success of his companies Tesla and SpaceX. Tesla is the world’s leading electric vehicle manufacturer, and SpaceX is a private space exploration company that has developed reusable rockets and spacecraft.

Musk previously held the title of richest person in the world, but he was overtaken by French billionaire Bernard Arnault in December 2022. However, Musk reclaimed the title in June 2023 after Tesla’s stock price rebounded.

Other notable figures on the Forbes list include Jeff Bezos ($161 billion), Larry Ellison ($158 billion), Warren Buffett ($121 billion), Larry Page ($114 billion), and Bill Gates ($111 billion).
