UEFA and Kazakhstan partner to improve football infrastructure

The Football Federation of Kazakhstan (FFK) has announced a three-year program to renovate football stadiums in the country with the support of UEFA. The program aims to develop football infrastructure and create conditions for the development of mass football in Kazakhstan, Turanews.kz reports citing the press service of the Federation.

The first phase of the program will focus on renovating five stadiums in Aktau, Almaty, Shymkent, Aktobe, and Zhetysu region. These stadiums are:

  • CSKA stadium, Almaty city
  • Stadium named after B. Ongarov, Zhetysu region, Balpyk dance village
  • “Cementnik”, Shymkent city
  • BJSM No. 2, Aktobe city
  • SC “Caspii”, Aktau city

The renovation work will include upgrading the playing surfaces, improving the drainage systems, and installing new lighting. The FFK hopes that the renovated stadiums will help to increase participation in football in Kazakhstan and attract more spectators to matches.
